A Very Prestbury Summer is returning for a second year on Sunday 1st July. The fete is now becoming an annual event and permanent addition to the Prestbury Calendar.  Festivities will be running from 3pm to 7pm on Sunday 1st July. New Road will be closed on the day,  so please follow local signage for guidance on parking restrictions and road closure times and we’ll update you with more information as it’s announced.

There will be something for everyone, with lots to do with the kids, including donkey trips around Parrotts Field, face painting, balloon art, fairground rides and a wonderful vintage car display.  Running alongside the events and attractions on Parrotts Field, will be a large artisan market held on New Road. Browse over and enjoy lots of fresh produce to tempt your fancy and great entertainment with stage and live music. Throughout the village, businesses will be coming out and trading on to the street where they will be joined by many local community groups and societies.

A new addition to the annual event will be the crowning of the Rose Queen, to be held at St Peters at 3pm.  A short parade will begin at St Peter’s and end at the stage by the Castle Hill roundabout. Thereafter the Rose Queen will be crowned by Menna Fitzpatrick MBE.

Menna has a long and connection with Prestbury having attended school here, been active within St Peter’s, and when not becoming our most successful ever Paralympian she still volunteers with the Brownies in Prestbury.
